Dedicated to the memory of Jackie

This site is a tribute to Jackie, who was born in Winchester on January 12, 1950. She recently passed away at the age of 72. She leaves behind her loving husband Ian, son Peter, and daughter Claire, daughter-in-law Lisa and son-in-law Michael, grandchildren Dylan, Sophie, Pippa and Fiona.
Jackie was a a Dispensing Optician for over 40 years and was devoted to her profession. She was a keen seamstress and cook. She loved her voluntary work at Sea Southampton and helping out at Two Trees in the New Forest.
A loyal, valued friend, auntie and cousin she loved to spend time entertaining and travelling.
Jackie passed away after a short illness and was cared for in the Cardiac ICU at Southampton General Hospital, and we will forever appreciate their efforts and compassion.
Jackie’s grand-daughter Sophie has a complex disability and Unique had become close to her heart as a charity which supports families, informs and alleviates the isolation of anyone affected by a rare chromosome disorder.
During Jackie’s long career as an optician, the power of sight was always something which was forefront in her thoughts.
She is much loved and will always be remembered.
